Another Craft show......

*Sigh* WHY do I ALWAYS go! I know its bad news........and going = disasterous. BUT YET I STILL GO! Well.....another craft show......another $80 gone.....and here is my new hobby......pretty fugly...will work on it though!

Attempt #1

Attempt #2

On another note.......I am BLOODY SORE! >_< two boxing classes in one day might be just a tad OTT. But it was so much fun! Well.....except for the whole being tortured by the instructor thing. My instructor actually attends the morning class since the instructor is her BF, and he attends the afternoon class since shes in the instructor. When she walked into the room and saw me in the class she went :O WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? EVEN I'M NOT THAT PSYCHO! True.......Although I seriously doubt I will be doing this every week. Not only do I have to deal with the post exercise soreness, I have to deal with the shock my joints go through after being beaten up by someone who use to do kickboxing, JJT and has abs like a washboard. Atleast I told the instructor to work my friend instead of me since I'm not the one complaining that I don't get enough of a workout! HA! Suffer! Ahhhhhh the satisfaction of watching you getting slapped all over by the instructor! MAUhaAUahAUAhAU

Belated valentines? I think not......

I found THESE on my keyboard when I got back from lunch today.......

At first I was estatic! But then I noticed that my friend also had a bunch on her keyboard. So we asked our manager and the surrounding people who left it for us. No one saw a thing. There was no gift tag, no label, no delivery receipt. They can't deliver flowers without getting past security anyway, and no one knows who we are since we are new to the office. The only deduction? It had to be someone in the office.

I knew immediately who it was.......but I refused to believe it and pretended not to know. That is.....until he asked us if we liked the flowers. The story is, he asked me yesterday if I got lots of nice pressies for valentines day. Me, being the smart arse that I am, said "No.....I didn't get anything. I didn't even get anything from you! I am so hurt!". My one smart arse comment became his "inspiration" to buy us flowers. And he didn't want my friend to feel left out. Whats wrong you ask? This guy FREAKS the hell out of the both of us. He would walk by and say hello, and then just stand next to our desk and watch us work.....did I also mention that this guy is in his 40s?

Before he came up to us and tell us that he bought the flowers, I knew it was him, and I got so freaked out my heart was racing and my hand was shaking. People who know me, know that I don't usually act like that.....but this guy truely freaked me out. It was a very sweet gesture and I LOVE roses, and they are soooooo pretty as well! I should be grateful......I guess I am still getting over the shock. But thank you FF. It's just a shame that they came from the wrong person...... :(

My definition of sore? Having the crap beaten out of you by some big bloke during a box class...and then suffering the pains of having to hold the punching pads for the big bloke the next day. It took me close to 1 hour to drag my carcass out of bed this morning because I was in so much pain. No.....not drag.....I literally ROLLED off the bed because I couldn't use my arms to get myself up. I then decided to drive to the city, but due to my temporary conditions...I couldn't reverse park. So I drove an extra block up the road so I can just do a kerbside parking.

Instead of taking it easy, stupid me decided to go grocery shopping and buy a few books along the way and then attempted to walk from Chinatown to Broadway. Only to stop half way and walk all the way back to Chinatown to buy MORE groceries. This time I was smarter......I caught the bus back. I guess the bright side is, my arm isn't as sore as it would've been if I decided to carry all my groceries back to broadway by feet. How I'm going survive Taebo and bodyfirm tomorrow would be interesting.....

The Pre-Chinese New Year Dinner

We got a bit excited this year and decided to have an early Chinese New Year dinner. The main meal? Singaporean Sambal Chilli Crab! OMFG! I had 2 bowls of JUST SAUCE AND BREAD! :X MMMMMMMMMMMMMM Thats it.....with the Jap feast and the Crab feast, it's going to be Gym everyday! Well.......except CNYE......cos I have to be home for the family feast that happens every year. Doh!

The Japanese feast

Our kind friend invited us over to sample a range of his homemade japanese dishes. And oh my freakin god IT TASTED FUCKIN YUMMY! (Sorry for the language) but it was freakin good stuff!! We started off with:

Salmon sashimi and seaweed salad

Of course.....you cannot have sashimi without HANDMADE wasabi leaf! Made from homemade wasabi!

and then there was boiled dumplings...

Followed by (from the bottom): Potatoes with thickened dashi sauce, Japanese prawn curry, yakitori, Oyakodon, the remains of the entree.

with a side dish of homemade udon soup

Of course, a meal isn't complete without dessert. Behold! The secret within!

Homemade green tea ice cream

And together, they make the perfect union........

Thanks for the wonderful meal! So when is the next dinner party? Remind me to bring my own tupperware next time to take a "doggy bag" home. mmMmmMmMmMMMmmm *Rubs my tummy*

As requested.....the feckin driveway we had to hike up and down every day! It doesn't help that its scattered with loose gravel, dirty and bits of tree! It also doesn't help that it was raining on the last day when we packed all our luggage into the car!! >_<
