Another pub night

I'm really loving this whole pub thing. Cheap food, cheap drinks, music loud enough for you to hear, but soft enough for a decent conversation that doesn't involed ripped vocal cords. Big spacious rooms, no elbowing, shoving or being groped whilst trying to squeeze your way through the crowd to the bathroom. But the sad thing? I says alot about my age when I'm contemplating hanging out at the local pub rather than have a big night out in town. *Sigh*

Anyway, it time to visit another one of Moishii's mystery venues. This time there was no juke box, but there was MTV making the job so much easier. We picked a table in the bistro and scanned the big blackboard. $5 steaks! $5!! Why am I paying $30 for a steak which is basically just a piece of beef thrown onto a grill in the city? Yes, you get way you pay for rar rar rar. Unless you're talking about Kobe beef, alot of the time, steak is steak. I've been to a number of these big famous award winning steak houses, and at the end of the day, it was just a steak. It doesn't matter how good the piece of beef is, if the chef completely butchers the slab of meat. Sometimes its well worth the $30 you pay if the chef is having a good night, sometimes, $5 steak is all you need.

The bistro is completely empty and we're the only people there. Fine by me. We can have a decent conversation and concentrate on the task at hand. We order our drinks, and settle for Chicken schnitzel with chips and gravy. Less than 5mins after placing our order, the chef sticks his head out of the window and screams "NO MORE SCHNITZEL!!!!"

O..k....not a biggie, I was happy to order something else. This is when the bar maid starts screaming across the room at the chef as to whether there was no more schnitzel full stop, or no more after our order. There was no more schnitzel after our order. Not too much of a problem until the barmaid started screaming that she wanted schnitzel for dinner when her shift was over. Great, we just stole dinner of the barmaid. Luckily we had our drinks already and didn't have to worry about any bodily fluids that might accidently make it into our drinks.

The food arrives and the schnitzel was huge! Excellent value for $5! The schnitzel was really good, not too oily, very crunchy but not too much batter. The chicken was still nice and moist. It sits on top of a bed of light crispy chips drenched in gravy. Now I have a funny way of eating chips and gravy. The PERFECT chips and gravy needs to have a genrous sprinkle of chicken salt, and then bbq sauce added to the picture. So then it was a franctic running back and forth between the condiments counter and our table. After a big fuss, I finally sit down to my meal.
After taking a bite and enjoying cheap comfort pub food, cops storm into the bistro. Within minutes, another cop car pulls up to the pub with their lights going off giving me headspins. I'm torn between running out and taking photos, continue eating, or taking my plate of food out AND take photos. The staff starts running around and we panic thinking we're in the middle of a hold up. Eventually the chef comes running out as well and we ask him for all the goss. Apparently some guy asked the barmaid to flash her t!ts at him, and when she refused, he tried to attack her. Moishii immediately turns to me and goes "God I'm glad you're not wearing anything low cut". Somewhere amongst the story, I heard that he tried following her into the toilet or something?? God can't we go out for ONE night without some weird freaky thing happening? What are we? Magnets for freaks??

We scoff the rest of our food, finish the task we were there for and then we were outta there. Since it was still early, we decided to head towards Burwood to catch a movie. Of course there was non-stop screaming of "CHRISTINEEEEEEEEEEE" out of the car window. We arrive at Burwood, purchase our tickets for "Grudge 2", roam around a bit and then settled in for the movie. OMG it's been AGESSSSSSS since we've seen anything with Sarah Michelle Gellar in it! I can't wait! The cinema starts filling up with people. Usually not too much of an issue, but in this case, 1/3 of the cinema were loud, rowdy teenagers. The lights dim, the previews start rolling, and the bloody bunch of teenagers were still talking! Not whispering either, this is full on conversations about clothes, weekends, whos dating who. Theres alot of shushing, and yelling of "SHUT UP!!!" (and I contributed to that as well), but they WOULD NOT SHUT UP. 10seconds into the movie, some moron decided to start screaming at the top of his lungs. Another one decided to respond by screaming "HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!". It didn't help that Moishii reckoned that would be the perfect reply to "Christine!!!".

You would think once the movie starts, they would start to settle down. No. You had people STANDING in their seats chatting to people people a few rows behind them. You had people jumping up from their seats, moving to another seat/row/side of the cinema to chat to other people. You had people sitting there screaming "OMG! I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SCARED!!!" followed by a "HELP ME!!". Non stop! No amount of shushing, and "SHUT THE HELL UP!!" would get them to SHUT THE HELL UP. So they called in the security. Not just the attendants with their torch, but full on security. They had the security do a round in the cinema and then they left. Immediately the screaming and chatting started up. The attendant quickly started making rounds again and stood next to the bunch of culprits. Not that that really helped since there were morons scattered throughout the whole cinema. If she managed to shut one group up, another group would start. So half way through the movie, they had to call the attendant back. She stuck around for about 10mins and then left again. I swear by the end of the movie I was ready to throw my bottle at someone, but I didn't know who because there were so many of them that deserved a flying bottle to the back of the head!

The movie ended and it was good. I would've enjoyed it ALOT more if people would SHUT UP! I get into the car and we're driving home when I open the window and let out a blood curdling CHRISTINEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! This was quickly followed by Moishii's "HELP MEEEEEE!!". I quickly realised that this is NOT a good thing, because one day someone is going to call the cops and report a kidnapping and identify Moishii's license plates and he's going to have the cops on his door steps with a warrant. So we're sitting at the traffic lights when Moishii has a complete laughing fit followed by an asthma attack. After 2mins of this, he finally calms down and a cop car drives by. I quickly said "Do NOT scream......do NOT SCREAM!". This triggered another fit and attack. How he managed to drive home with tears in his eyes and stitches I'll never know.....

The domesticated goddess SoRMuiJAi

I've been cooking ever since I could remember. It kinds helps that your entire family is full of chefs and you literally grew up in a restaurant. I can cook a whole range of things, from chinese, to japanese, italian to greek and Turkish food. But since I've had to be alot of domesticated lately and not just cook for me, but for my grandma, 3 meals a day, I've been racking my brain as to what to cook. I could go make some vine leaves or lasagne etc, but thats good every now and then, not every day. Atleast not for my grandma. And there needs to be variety.

Since my schedule has been insanely busy, I've been trying to find the line between batch cooking everything so she has something to eat if I'm home late, and cooking enough variety so you don't eat the same thing day in day out. So here's a few meals I've been making lately:

Fried rice with baby anchovies, fish cake and served with crunchy fried onions

I had dried baby anchovies in the freezer, and half a fish cake thats been sitting in the fridge for awhile. So I diced everything up, chopped up an onion (because I couldn't be bothered picking shallots from the garden), scrambled some eggs and threw everything together into a big wok with rice, corn and peas. Once everything was tossed until well combined and the rice was nice and dry, I dished it up with a sprinkle of fried onions. MmMMmmm The perfect cheap comfort food!

Clockwise: Teriyaki chicken, Garlic Choy Sum, Salted fish with pork, rice, fermented soya bean steamed with pork, ginger and shallots.

This was my attempt at cooking some "heung har" food. Basically a typical meal you might get back in the village where my parents grew up. Ok, Teriyaki chicken isn't exactly very "heung har" food, but I couldn't be bothered digging through our freezer (our two VERY VERY big freezers that can fit ATLEAST 4 bodies) for my mum's master stock to make soya chicken, so teriyaki it was.

My favourite veggie dish of all time will have to be either choy sum stir fried with garlic and just a smidgen of oyster sauce, or brocolli stir fried with garlic and just a smidgen of oyster sauce. This was heavenly. Veggies were crunchy and the sauce was pungently garlicky.

As for the 2 other dishes, you can't get anything more "heung har" than that. The salted fish was steamed ontop of a bed of pork sliced. Traditionally you use very fatty pork, but I opted to some lean pork, just to make myself seem healthy. This must be steamed with shitloads of thinly sliced garlic. MUST. As for the fermented soya beans, its called "dow jeung". You basically add a bit of salt and let the whole thing rot and mould, and walla! You have a sauce! Again, this has to be steamed ontop of a bed of slice pork, and it SHOULD be fatty pork, but I'm trying to be health concious! And just like the other dish, SHITLOADS of thinly sliced ginger and mass amounts of chopped shallots. The star of both dishes isn't the meat or the fish, its the sauce. You basically have 1 bowl of rice for each sauce. Which is probably why you shouldn't make both dishes for the same meal.....oh wells. :D

Chicken Congee with Fried Onions and shallots

MmmMm chickeny goodness

The cold weather has me suddenly craving for some comforting warm congee. The secret to good congee is to always soak the rice for atleast an hour beforehand with a pinch of salt and oil. It makes the rice break down into the congee goodness you see above. Otherwise, if you want to cheat, instead of stirring the congee with a spoon when you're cooking, use a whisk. It helps break down the rice much faster, but you might be lacking a bit the starchy sticky goodness thats a congee.

Icili kofte with SMJ puttanesca salad

Ok, I cheated a bit with this one. Its store bought icili kofte, but damn it was good! I gotta try and make these from scratch. As for the salad, I call it the SMJ puttanesca salad. Its basically all the ingredients you would need to make puttanesca pasta, but in salad form.

Baja Cantina revisited

I got free tickets to the theatre the other week. I wasn't too sure what the show was about, but thats not the point. So I booked Moishii for the night to join me in getting free stuff. The show wasn't going to start til 8pm, so we had plenty of time. As it was at the Seymour Centre, we decided to head back to Baja Cantina for dinner, this time without the psychopathic lunatic ready to stab me in the eye.

We were really early

As we've been a bit of an alcoholic lately, the first thing we ordered was a jug of sangria. Not just any sangria, but a white sangria. What was delivered was quite different from what we ordered last time:

White Sangria

Last time the sangria was quite murkey with some old fruit and a bit of foam on top. This time, it was nice and translucent with nice chunks of watermelon, rock melon and honeydew melon. The sangria wasn't exactly fermented the traditional way, but I liked it. It was light and fruity, and definately went down well.

I was really really tempted to order the fish tacos again since they tasted absolutely spectacular last time, but no. I must try something new. Quesadillas it is! With Chipolate prawns and a side of salsa.

MmMmmm my quesadilla had huge chunky prawns, not as smokey as I'd have expected, and quite cheesey, but very very good. The dish came with refried beans and rice. Now I had these last time and it's very filling if not a bit rich, perfect for winter, a bit heavy for summer. Hence my salsa. The sides were a bit oily and there was a bit too much cheese, but then isn't that mexican food? Next time I'll ask for less cheese.

Moishii ordered a chicken Burrito. The filling was basically the rice and beans that was served with my dish, with a heap of chicken mixed in. Not that that stopped Moishii from devouring most of the dish.

So by the time we had finished eating, it was around 7:15pm. We were sitting around whilst I proceeded to drink the ENTIRE jug of sangria. We were full, we were content, and we were sleepy. In other words, we couldn't be arsed going to the show. I think we kinda did discuss it, but the decision was already made, it was home time. Luckily they were free tickets.....

Speaking of New Orleans...

I've been a bit slack with the postings lately. I've taken a whole bunch of photos and just haven't had time to put them onto my computer. So heres a quick peek at what I've been doing. As a part of the little mystery shopping thing we've been doing, one of the nights we decided to grab dinner at Crows Nest before heading off the the unnamed venue. Now I worked at Crows Nest for 3 years, and I practically bought lunch every single day I worked at CN. There was one place I NEVER buy lunch from, and thats New Orleans Cafe. I don't know why. I love the place. They have sensational coffee and really good food, but it was just never a lunch place. However, whenever we do come to Crows Nest at night, it usually involves NOC.

This is when I could go on and on about the history of us and NOC. I could tell you the story where I had too much coffee there late one night with Moishii, and we ended up calling Christine telling her we've been arrested and that we need bail money. Who then ended up calling other people to try and get some bail money together before we called back to say she's just been punked. But lets not bother with that story. Lets focus on the food. We finally brought Christine along so she knew what we were talking about when we're screaming down the phone at her saying we're at NOC having coffee. So we quickly order the food as we want to move on to the next place for the free alcohol:

Cheese burger

Nachos

The food is always good. Big juicy burgers and the nachos. Good god, thats the SMALL size we ordered. Me and Christine were greedy and were contemplating ordering a large EACH. Luckily we checked with the waiter first, because the large feeds 2-3 people. I couldn't even finish my small serve! And all for $10.90! Too bad we didn't get a chance to have coffee there with Christine. Maybe next time.....

Sydney Food Tv

Guess what I stumbled upon?

http://www.sydneyfoodtv.com.au

Interesting little website with video clips introducing restaurants around Sydney with a bit of behind the scenes. Kind of like food tv, but online. This will be interesting to keep an eye on. Theres not many restaurants on the site yet, but it does have one of my favourite places, New Orleans Cafe in Crows Nest

Mystery shopping

It was a freezing saturday night and all I wanted to do was curl up in bed and sleep. But alas, I had promised Moishii I'll help him with his Mystery shopping thing he had to do for work. The "Mystery shopping" we were doing involves going to various venues and listening to music. Don't ask. Anyway, so we went to a pub which I shall not name for dinner. Cheap pub grub is always good. The plan was to do the mystery shopping over dinner, but from where we were, we couldn't hear a thing. So after eating, and consuming a few alcoholic beverages (I get a $30 budget to spend on alcohol/food simply by accompanying him) we roamed around the pub and eventually located a juke box. Being the enthusiastic idiots that we were, we proceeded to slot dollar after dollar into the machine and pumped out some Kylie and Beyonce. By this time the alcohol was hitting and I was tired. I sat down and faced the rest of the room. I slowly started to notice something a bit strange.....we were in the pool room, but there was no one playing pool. Everyone was sitting down and watching something to my right. I turn around to see a big screen that was showing footy. OMG FOOTY! Everyone was sitting at the pub trying to watch Australia kick the crap outta the Kiwis, and here we were pumping Beyonce out of the speakers!!

The guys directly infront of me turned to give us the dirty look just as the next song blares out of the speakers. Moishii has his back turned and is completely oblivious as to what is going on. He's bopping to the music and scanning through the playlist. In my inebriated state, I did a hiss of a "SIT DOWN!!". Only someone is quite thick as to what is going on. This is basically how the conversation went:

Me (Hissing): SIT DOWN!!
Moishii: Wait, I just need a few more songs
Me: I think you need to sit down!!!
Moishii: What?!
Me: If you don't sit down soon, you're going to get the shit kicked out of you!
Moishii: What???
Me: SIT DOWN!!!

Moishii eventually sits down which is when I explained the whole situation and how we have completely broken all pub etiquettes when the footy is on. We decided to sit down, pretend to watch the game and not attract anymore attention to ourselves. All was going well until this massive drum solo at the end of a video clip started pumping through the speakers. More dirty looks from all the guys. This is when my survival instinct kicked in and we left whilst we still had all our teeth. This is after I hide a big cup of beer nuts in my handbag......

We hop into the car when the rain starts pouring down. We have no idea where we were, and neither of us could be bothered pulling out the map. So in the dark rainy night, the drunk one (me) started directing the lost one (Moishii). There was a bit of miscommunication when we started going in circles when both of us basically meant to give the same directions but we ended up going around in circles from all the yelling we were doing. It didn't help that I was hanging my head out of the window screaming CHRISTINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE at every traffic light and passerby I saw.

We eventually made it to the next venue, another pub. We walk in, order more alcohol (God this place was generous with their alcohol......its like a double serve.......and cheaper as well) and tried to locate where the music was coming from. There was huge room where everyone was watching the game and betting on horses etc. We decided to avoid a repeat of the other place so we explored the pub some more. We eventually find the room with the juke box and plonk ourselves down right next to it. Before we pumped more music from it, we had a quick glance around the room only to see that everyone in there were big kiwis.....and the kiwis were loosing. Not a good time to play any music. So we settled for whatever was playing through the speakers. Since we couldn't play music, we decided to drink. Well, I decided to drink. I ended up having 3 glasses of wine infront of me, and since their glasses were so big, it totalled to about a bottle of wine. 20mins later, the room was spinning and I desperately needed some fresh air. I leave my bag and jacket with Moishii to grab some air on the streets. 5mins later, Moishii is screaming from the front door thinking I was run over by a car or something. I quickly run back to see him standing on the door step laughing his head off and trying to break down the door. Yep.....we got locked out. Luckily Moishii had my bag and jacket in his hands, so we jumped into the car for a bit of a joy ride. Alot of "CHRISTINEEEEEEEEEEE" screaming later, we ended up in Leichardt for some coffee.

We ended up at Tuscany on Norton Street. The reason we went there was because Sydney Weekender was doing a Norton Street special on Saturday, and Tuscany was on the show. That and it was close. After giving our orders to multiple waiters and still not getting anything, we were about to up and leave when they finally came with our drinks. It took another 15mins for the dessert to come through. We got the ricotta and nutella crepes which was nice, but nothing special. What was special was the people around us. The guy with his girlfriend sitting next to us couldn't stop staring at us. Maybe it had something to do with us leaving a voicemail on Christine's phone which involved alot of "CHRISTINEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!" and "CHRRRRRRRRIIIIIISTINEEEEEEEE!!". After they left, 2 chicks sat down next to us. By this stage I was quite sober and we just sat there chatting away. The 2 chicks got up and left less than 10mins after sitting down and sculling a coffee, but not before one of the chicks gave me the dirties. She stood up, turned and gave me the dirtiest look and then walked off. Like WTF? And to make things bad, she was wearing a Gold belt AND carrying a gold purse. No one, who wears a gold belt and carries a gold purse has the right to give me the dirties. It should be me giving you the dirties for your taste. BITCH.

Anyway, the night ended soon after that. Somewhere along the line, I woke up with a spoon in my bag along with the nuts. Like wtf?

Harbour Town and Draculas

I just can't sleep in. Maybe it was the nightmares after last night's "Incidents". I get up and pot around abit and ended up crashing on the couch. After I felt semi human, I got up and packed my bag. Moishii decides that he doesn't want to do anymore shopping today, so I head off to Harbour Town by myself. It was a long bus ride, about 30mins, but it let me soak in the views around Surfers. I jump off at Harbour Town and immediately threw myself into the first shop I saw.

Basically Harbour Town is a huge factory outlet area and it is mostly outdoors instead of confined in one big cement building. Theres plenty of sun and plenty of cafes to rest at if you've had enough shopping. HA!

I picked up some great bargains when I was there, including Cranium, the board game for 50% off!! MuahAUAHa Also managed to grab a few bags and other items. I had originally planned to go to Australia Fair, but because the box of Cranium actually weighs a few kilos, I decided to head back to the apartment instead.

I managed to catch another bus back to Surfers and went past Labrador and the place is GORGEOUS! Too bad I was on the bus and couldn't get any photos, and too bad I didn't have my swimmers otherwise I would've jumped off the bus for a dip in the water. Unlike Surfers, Labrador doesn't have the huge bone crashing waves. The sea is relatively calm with inlets that is perfectly safe to let all the kids loose. If I ever to go to the Gold Coast with the kids, I think Labrador will be alot more appropriate than Surfers.

I finally get back to the apartment and my arm is killing me from lugging the box of Cranium around. I had previously called Moishii and asked him to meet me at the apartment as he had the key. I'm stumbling back in the blindingly hot sun when all of I sudden I hear "CHRISTINEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!". I turn and its Moishii running towards me from about a block away. I replied with a "CHRISTINEEEEEEEE!!!" and then threw all my bags at him. Ahhhhhh FREE!

I quickly show off all my new purchases and then we decided that a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi is called for. Moishii runs down the street to grab a quick bite as I get changed for the pools. 20mins later, Moishii comes screaming into the pool area because I was actually SUNBATHING. Yes. I know. I really don't like the sun, but I'm burnt as already. Plus, the water was FREEEEEEZING! I was more trying to warm up in the sun more than anything. We ended up doing the smart thing and jumping into the warm jacuzzi and just relaxed. After about 45mins, we were all shrivelled up and decideds we should head towards the sauna. The only problem was there was a guy sauna, and a girl sauna, of course we both crashed the girl's sauna. Now Moishii has never been in a sauna before and started freaking out when I cranked up the temperature. He kept screaming that he was getting hot and couldn't breath. ERrrrrrrr.....its a sauna?

Anyway, after a good 1/2hr later, we decided that we've had enough and we should head back to the room. The only problem was we couldn't turn the sauna off......after alot of prodding and turning things on and off, we managed to get the temperature to cool down......although I suspect it could be because we left the door open.

We quickly change and head towards the bus stop for our next event. Draculas. This isn't without incidents. It doesn't help that Moishii kept screaming that theres no bus stop and we're going in the wrong direction etc etc. I put my foot down and insist we're at the right bus stop, but because of the indy races, they had made a whole heap of road changes which is why its not evident. After alot of screaming, Moishii suddenly goes "Oh hey, theres a bus stop sign there. So I guess we're at the right place."

*blood pressure boils*

Anyway, we get on the bus and eventually made our way to Draculas. The place is right next to Pacific Fair, and you'd have to be blind to miss it:

The decoration is amazing! It looks soooooo much better at night with the creepy lighting and of course, their ghouls and monsters:

Now Dracula's is a cabaret restaurant. Theres stand up comedy, a ghost train ride and a musical show plus food and drinks. Well, food anyway. For a 3 course meal and entertainment from 6pm to about 11pm all for $70 on a week day. I think what really impressed me was the effort and thought they put into the decoration and how well all the staff kept in character. There is no "good evening". Its more of a "I HOPE YOU DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" type greetings.

Now as we walked into the place, they gave us a little talk, with the main point being NO CAMERAS. But you know me......I did managed to grab 1 or 2 photos, and everything was going well until Moishii decided to take photos WITH THE FLASH. FFS you've had that camera for over 3 years, LEARN TO TURN OFF THE FLASH! ITS ONE BUTTON! I CAN'T BE THAT HARD!!!!!!!! So I get told off because I was taking photos secretly WITHOUT the flash on, but they assumed it was me because they saw the flash come from my direction. FFS I get told off because YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO TURN OFF THE FLASH ON YOUR FRICKIN CAMERA! Anyway, heres the rare few photos we did manage to take before getting told off (don't mind the blurriness......I was doing this WITHOUT THE FLASH):

Cocktails to help us relax

Thai Chicken Crepes - Our first course before I got told off

We were quite lucky in the sense that our "waitress" played a character of a ditzy zombie, as opposed to the screaming raving gothic monster that would yell at everyone and eventually stole someone's thong. Don't ask. We got seated in the upstairs part of the theatre which was laid out like a lecture theatre meaning if you're sitting in the middle and you need to pee......bad luck. Eveyrone will need to get up and let you out. And when the food comes, you need to pass it down the row as the waitress and waiters can't get to you.

This wasn't too bad until we figured out who we were sitting next to. There was a bunch of pommies who were drunker than a skunk by the time we got there. He wouldn't stop talking to Moishii, the women in the group laughed at EVERYTHING. And she did it LOUD. So loud that she kept interrupting the stand up comedian and he basically had to direct a few words at her even though we're sitting at the top of the theatre. They would bang the table whenever they laughed and then they would shriek and howl like they were getting tickle tortured as they had an orgasm. I was ready to slam her face into the table if I could reach!! Thank god we had orderd a bottle of wine to numb the pain. It was getting a bit unbearable.....but I stayed in there, because I had a little surprise in store for Moishii.

When we first stumbled across the Dracula's store at Surfers, I went to confirm our booking, after distracting Moishii because I didn't want him to find out the surprise. I did the same thing when I picked up the ticket, and when the waitress came and asked if we were celebrating anything special. I even ducked out to the toilet to have a word with another waiter to confirm everything. During the intermission of the show, after they had announced all the birthdays and anniversaries etc (Moishii screamed at the waitress that it was my birthday when we first walked in) the surprise came. What was the surprise? We were sitting around chatting during the intermission when all of a sudden, a zombie, a dead nurse, some dead guy in a top hat all started walking towards our table. The look on Moishii's face went from confusion to utter horror. He knew what was coming!!

When we booked for Dracula's, Moishii had screamed that he wanted to order a Dracula's cake for the sake of it. But because we were having a 3 course meal that came with tiramisu in a coffin, we decided against it. Well, it looked like I had decided against it. The bunch of ghouls came up to us and plonked this down onto our table:

That's right. I ordered a cake that says "Happy Mykonos/Olympics Anniversary"!!! HAHAHA I had specifically asked them not to make a big deal when they presented their cake. So with 3 ghouls around us, one of them leaned towards me and asked me what to sing. He took one look at the cake, gave us the "WTF" look and I quickly saved the situation and said just sing happy birthday. So here we were, surrounded by dead people singing happy birthday for a Mykonos/Olympics anniversary, the pommie woman throwing herself ontop of our bench trying to see what was on the cake with Moishii just wanting to bury his face into the cake. One of the zombies came over with a knife, and instead of handing the knife to us, he stabbed the cake. He stabbed the cake like he would stab the man who murdered his entire family. Moishii freaked out thinking he was going to stab Moishii! After a laughing fit, we eventually asked for a box to hide the cake as we couldn't eat a single bite! Happy anniversary!!!

Hahaha I think it was money well spent. Anyway, the night ended after 11pm and all we wanted to do was go home. We hopped into a cab which started smoking/burning by the time we got back to the apartment. We dashed off before the thing exploded and went back to the apartment for some cake. We thought the night was still semi young, so we grabbed our cameras and headed for the streets (After a few more shots) to try and reenact some of last night. But it was one big anti climax so we ended up just passing out very soon afterwards.

Shoppinggggggg!

After our very drunken night the night before, I still got up around 7:30am. Like what the hell is wrong with me? I don't even get up until about 8am for WORK. Its those bloody bells I tell you. I'm going to shove those bells somewhere soon! Anyway, I'm always the first to get up. I shower and plop myself on the couch whilst the other one sleeps in. Feeling like absolute crap, I thought I'd try and get healthy and have a nice big glass of OJ for breakfast. With a shot or 2 of Apple Schnapps. Thats right.......the only way to get over a hangover is to ensure your body is never free of alcohol. So here I am lying on the couch watching tv, when Moishii finally gets up and starts screaming at me. Apparently he's disgusted that I was having shots in the morning without him! I commented that he was supposed to be sleeping! He started screaming that he's been awake for 2 hours and just didn't want to get out of the bed, and the least I could do was bring him a shot in bed. This whole screaming match kept going on for awhile, but we eventually made up, over a shot.

After yesterday's fiasco over the missed breakfast, we vowed that we're not going to skip/rush breakfast again. Incase you don't know, both of us really get the shits when we don't have a proper meal or if we're hungry. When we're hungry, hide. We we grab our stuff and head down towards the cafes. We plonk ourselves down at "The Chat Room" which is a cafe next to the one we ran out of yesterday. It was the budget breakfast for the both of us.

The food comes out and we grab our coffee for a toast. (No pun intended). We're just about to take a sip of my coffee when I see this:

A FAT lipstick mark on it. Oh god its going to be one of those days for me.......I just know it. After a lot of fuss, 5mins later, I have a new Latte and we toast again. This time it was lipstick free. We tuck into our artery clogging meal and god it was good. After feeling satiated, we head towards the bus stop. Our first stop? The Carrara Markets. Its basically a hugeeeeeeeee outdoor market with over 500 stalls selling everything from food, to clothes, to alcohol, pets, furniture, you name it, they've got it. I had a quick chat to the receptionist in the morning as to the best way to get there. The instruction was basically go to the bus stop and most of the buses will take you to the markets. So we're sitting at the bus stop waiting for the bus when this dude:

walks up to me, opens his mouth to say something to me and sudden snaps his mouth closed and storms off to another bench. Like WTF? I'm just waiting for a bus and I meet freaks. A bus finally comes along and we ask the bus driver if he goes to the markets. He turns around and says we're at the wrong bus stop and we should be on the other side of the street! This is after a 30mins wait! Moishii starts chucking a tantrum saying he's going to slam something into the receptionist for giving us the wrong details. We turn around and head towards the other bus stop when it suddenly occurred to me, that the bus driver could be wrong. The direction he was giving us takes us in the opposite direction of the markets! Another bus comes along and we quickly race up to the driver to ask him for directions. He doesn't have a clue and suggests that we call the information line. I whip out my mobile phone and I'm on the phone getting directions repeating what she says out loud so Moishii could also know what is going on. Suddenly theres a 3rd voice in the mix. This dude:

was trying to point us in the direction of the right bus stop. Apparently the bus is literally around the corner from where we were. Great, and we just missed the bus. We walk around the corner to the other bus stop and contemplate catching a cab there when theres that voice again. The guy had followed us around the corner. I know he was just being helpful, but that was a bit scary. He basically convinced us that it'll be faster to catch a bus to Pacific fair, which is a huge bus terminal, and change buses there as there will be 2 buses to choose from as opposed to 2 if we stayed there. So we followed him back to the other bus stop just intime to jump onto another bus.

The guy gets on before us and tells the bus driver that we want to go to the Carrar Markets and that he should point out the bus stop for us to change at when we get to Pacific Fair. This is when all hell breaks loose. The bus driver and the guy gets into a screaming match about whats the best way for us to get to the markets. The bus driver told us to get off and wait for the bus around the corner which will take us there directly, the guy starts screaming that its faster for us to change buses and that he should help us, and then the bus drivers starts screaming that any idiot can find the bus stop etc etc. After a good minute of their screaming, we decided to just go to Pacific Fair and change buses, if theres no bus, atleast theres shops there for me. The bus driver is pissed as hell and asks me if I wanted a single or a return. Before I could open my mouth, the old guy turns around and says "They want a return ticket, both of them". The bus drivers face goes completely black, he takes about 3 deep breaths, mutters something to himself and punches out the tickets for us. I grab the ticket and just want to hide at the back of the bus when the old guy stops me to try and give me directions when I get off the bus. This is when the guy behind us literally shoves us apart and starts screaming at us for "HOLDING THE FUCKIN LINE UP". God this is embarrassing. We slink our way to the back of the bus and put our sunnies on, hoping that no one will ever recognise us. The bus finally starts moving and the old guy gets off at the next stop. Like WTF? After all that fuss to go to the next bus stop? Lord help me.

We get off at Pacific fair, no thanks to the bus driver and find the bus stop we need to change buses at. So here we are, a good hour later waiting for the 2nd bus. We're sitting there, both silent, not believing the day we've had and its barely midday. I look up and from the corner of my eye, I spot a BWS. I turn to Moishii and said:

Me: "I should get a pack of cowboy shots.....I really need a shot right now"
Moishii: "GO GET A PACK!"
Me: "Are you for real??"

But even as I replied, I already had my hand in my wallet and I was on my feet moving towards BWS. Less than 2 minutes later, I had a pack of cowboy shots between us.

We take a shot each and instantly felt better. We split the remaining shots so we can carry them with us incase of emergencies. The bus finally comes, we hop on and about 10mins later, we're at the markets.

We walked around and around, not being able to find anything to buy and so we decided on a tattoo each. Spray on one of course. 15mins later we're still waiting and thers about 3 people in front of us. We give us and walked to a few more stalls where I saw the most gorgeous kids backpacks and quickly snatched up 2 for xmas. Somewhere along the line, we were commenting about how this is like the grand bazaar in Istanbul and how the next time I go, it'll be summer and it'll be stinking hot. Moishii made some comment about me walking around Istanbul in a bikini otherwise I'll melt. We laughed it off and awhile later, we spotted this:

The scary thing? There is no beaches anywhere near where we were! So maybe me strutting around in a bikini in Istanbul isn't so far fetched afterall.

After doing our rounds at the Markets, we decided to head back to Pacific Fair for lunch. We were both in a tired depressed mood. It suddenly hit me why......we haven't screamed Christine today. This thought occurred to me as we were walking by a bus stop with these 2 chicks sitting there. I suddenly scream "CHRISTINNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!! OMG ITS CHRISTINEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! CHRISTINEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!" I grab Moishii arm and start running towards "Christine". 50m on, we're laughing so hard we can't run anymore. We're kicking ourselves for not getting the whole thing on camera because the 2 chicks sitting at the bus stop completely freaked out! hahaha And the best bit, Moishii actually thought I saw Christine for a moment! hahahahahahaha

We finally get to the right bus stop and we're sitting there waiting for our bus, when the 2 chicks followed us to the bus stop!

I wanted to scream Christine again, but the guy couple next to me might have a heart attack. We hop onto the bus and get off at Pacific fair. We roam around and around and around trying to find something that appeals to us and in the end hiding around a corner in the shopping centre to have a shot before we continued. We eventually settled for the Crepe Cafe:

Seafood Mornay

French Chicken

Lunch was going all good and well when suddenly Moishii does his "Oh god oh god!! CAMERA!!!"

If you know the 2 of us, you'll know the purpose of this photo so I'll move on......

*AHEM* We decide to bus it back to the apartment and rest up for tonight. We get back to the apartment, have a shot each and then jumped into bed. After a good nap, we get up and get dressed. We catch a bus to the casino to have a look around. We've always heard of Jupiters Casino and just had to check it out. What could I say......it was shit. Especially since we have Star City as a comparison......so we decided to head to the bar for a drink before heading back into town.

With a drink each, we sit back to listen to the live band. Our eyes adjusts to the dark and we see this:

This guy is close to this 80s, and he rocked the dance flooor. He boogied through every single song and even during the break! If I'm 80, I'm going to do that too. So we head back into town and decided that pizza was on the menu.

Vegetarian

La Porchetta Special

Now, for the whole day, I've been whinging and complaining that I'm sunburnt after yesterday at Movie world. Moishii keeps screaming for me to shut up and that I'm not sunburnt. So he issued a dare. Pull my top down and ask the waiter if I'm sunburnt, just like Sophie did to Moishii ON HER WEDDING DAY. When does he learn that he should never issue dares to me, because I'd do. Especially after I've had to drink a whole litre of wine. So the waiter comes over to collect our bill when I suddenly turn to him and asked him to settle an argument for us. I pulled my singlet down a fraction (its ok, he didn't see anything he wasn't supposed to) and asked him if I was sunburnt. He then starte rambling on and on about how he's a surfer and if he surfs for too long or he's in the sun for too long that he does get sunburnt and I might be a bit sunburnt and he should know because he surfs etc etc. There was no eye contact the entire time. Never dare me.

So after dinner, we decided to roam around the streets with a video camera and have a few more shots:

Shooters

Some dude, Moishii and Matey

Now its been awhile since this happened, but I'm not yet ready to talk about what happened that night. I can tell you we had shots at almost every bar we went to, and honestly, by the end of the night, we had over 5 shots and then we lost count. Theres alot to talk about, but I can't reveal anything yet. Don't worry, the camera was running the whole time, and there will be a premier of the video some time in the near future. I might tell you what happened on this night.....eventually......

Christmas has started early this year

So I spent all of my lunch time shopping at Myers and then at Kmart after work to make the most of their Toy Sale. With 8 kids to shop for this year, I really had to get my act together and get cracking on the xmas pressies. I love shopping for the younger kids because its so easy. Dolls, fancy princess dresses, makeup kits for the girls. Action figures, puzzles, sports things for the boys. Easy. I've basically complete all the xmas shopping for the youngest 5 kids. Now I've just got to worry about the older 3 kids.

Toys and action figures just don't cut it. If I want to stick along the lines of toys and entertainment, we're talking iPods, PS games, ELECTRONICS. I can't afford electronics for the 3 of them. Well, I CAN afford it, but I don't want to. For me, presents really are the thoughts that count. But for kids, a present is a present. The bigger and more expensive it is, the better it is. But I don't want them getting used to big and expensive presents and expect something better every year. But then it is xmas, and I want them to enjoy it as a kid, meaning presents! Its a catch 22. I want them to wake up bright and early xmas morning dying to come over to our place to open the xmas presents. Then it'll be a frenzy of ripping the paper apart, packaging discarded everywhere whilst the kids run off with their latest presents. But I don't want them to think xmas is only about presents and if their brother gets something more expensive, they'll feel left out. (And considering my nephews are soooooooo good with numbers, its kinda hard not for them to compare to the price value of their pressies)

*Sigh* Its hard being the cool aunt that is always bearing cool gifts. I don't know what to do about the remaining xmas presents. I was planning on some construction/fancy leggos type thing for my 3rd nephew, really baggy-5 sizes too big sporty clothes for my second nephew. They wouldn't be TOO hard to shop for I guess. Its just my oldest nephew. The one thats really good with money. The one thats really fashion conscious. The one that is sooooo picky with clothes, things from Kmart and Target just don't cut it anymore. I was going to drag Moishii shopping and ask him to pick out a few cool shirts, some funky belts and leather wrist things, maybe some surfies necklace thingies, but even then I don't know if my nephew will like it. Maybe I'll stick to a computer game. Maybe not. I'll have to do a bit more shopping for the oldest one.

On another note, I got an SMS from my sister today. My niece was reading the kids encyclopedia last night (She loves to read) and she came across the reproduction section. Being the curious little girl she is, she kept asking my sister questions on reproduction and the big S-E-X.......That was last night. This morning, the first thing she said to my sister is that she can't wait to grow up and get married.....this girl grows up too fast. *sigh*

Night Noodle Markets

Since the rain held off quite well last night, me and Cookiez made a sudden decision to go to the Night Noodle Markets. Fingers crossed that it wouldn't be packed with people since the sky threatened to rain every few minutes. We arrive and lucky, the place is quite empty, theres heaps of tables and the queues were all very short. We were basically very disappointed in all the foods on offer this year. So disappointed that I'm refusing to post up any photos. 3/4 of the stalls were all thai food. All offering the same things. Pad Thai, curries, fish cakes. There were the usual East Ocean, Zilver, Bungalow 8, Cargo bar etc. Their menu hasn't changed from last year, but their prices have gone up and the serving have gone down in size. Charging $8.50 for a tiny container of mussels (Which is mostly shell) anyway is a bit much considering I can have unlimited mussels if I paid twice the price. East Ocean usually sells their salt and pepper calamari for ~$7.50 at the Chinatown night markets is suddenly charging $12. They looked good and smelled oh-so-sinful, but jacking up the price like that is uncalled for.

I was originally ecstatic that the lines were so short! I was hoping I could grab a huge selection of food and enjoy them at one of the many tables. But with the woeful selection available, we only bought 2 dishes each. 1 from the Singapore Chou Kuey Teow store. It looked soooooo good when we saw someone walking away with their steaming hot plate that we just had to get one each. There was plenty of sizzling action and "Wok Hei", the initial few bites were "yummm", but that quickly turned into a "Omg...I feel so greased up...". We didn't end up finishing all the food.

The other dish we got was from Banana blossom. Thai Style Pork sausages, papaya salad and fried sticky rice. This was the only unique combo/dish available out of all the thai stalls. And boy was it good! The pork sausages had a hint of curry taste to it, not too oily and very juicy and meaty. The papaya salad was refreshing and cut through any grease from the sausage. Then there was the fried sticky rice. MmMmmm the rice didn't really have any taste, but it was the texture, the CRUNCH. The conversation went a bit like this:

Me: OooOoo fried sticky rice! *CRUNCH* MmmmMmm
Cookiez: OooOoo *CRUNCH* MMmMmm
Me: MMmmMmm!! *CRUNCH**CRUNCH*
Cookiez: *CRUNCH* MmmMMmmMMmm

I wish there was a bit more of the papaya salad dressing for the rice to absorb the flavour, but it was still orgasmic regardless. So to Banana Blossom, we salute you! The only stall bothering to make an effort in creating something other than pad thai and curries. I'm definately going to visit their restaurant and sample what else they have on offer!

Movie World

I've been lazy, so sue me. But here's the continuation of what happened at the GC:

So after our VERY drunken night, you would expect us to sleep in right? Wrong. We had planned on doing Movie World on the second day, so we had the alarm set for around 7am. But for some ungodly reason, I woke up at 5:30am. And due to our drunken night, I was dying for a drink. I wandered out to the livingroom only to notice that the sun was rising. Without my glasses, I start scrambling back into the room for the camera, but then the batteries were charging in the other room. After a few minutes, I got the camera ready and took a few pictures only to realise it totally wasn't worth my time and crashed back into bed. The next 2 hours was tossing at turning with the bloody bells chiming every 15mins. When we finally do get up, the first thing is to have a shot of chocolate vodka for breakfast.

The day before we spotted a cafe next to Bar Italia that had an awesome budget breakfast deal of bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, tomatoes, mushrooms and toast plus Tea/Coffee for around $8. We packed our gear for the day and rushed to the cafe. We seat ourselves and try to flag down a waitress for the menu. She comes over, practically decapitates me by throwing the menus at me whilst her body was half way across the court yard racing to another table. After we spend a good 5-10mins trying to flag her down again, we realise that if it takes this long to even order, it'll take forever for the food to come out. So we did a runner. We wait til the waitress runs around the corner before we grab our bags and bolt.

Next was a 2 man operation. Moishii runs to coles for some video tapes, I run to Gloria Jeans to pick up coffee and banana bread for Moishii. We meet up only for him to scream that he wants his jacket, so he grabs the coffee and runs back to the apartment for his jacket whilst I went and grabbed breakfast for myself and also to the local information stand to prepurchase the Movie World tickets. We agreed to meet in 5mins at the front of the apartment. 15mins later, I've chowed down my breakfast and half suburnt before he finally rocks up. Aparently some guy came to change the light bulb at our place, but he needed a hand because he couldn't change a light bulb by himself, but then he had the wrong light bulb and had to get help getting the right light bulb and so forth. FFS, how many men does it take to change a fuckin light bulb?????? Forget it, don't even answer.

We finally get onto the bus bound for Movie World. It'll be a good 20mins ride. That wouldn't have been too bad if this bitch wasn't sitting next to us screaming down the phone in russian for the entire 20mins. It sounded like she was telling her life story! FFS theres a time and place for something like that. And that time and place doesn't have me in it. Its bad enough I didn't have my morning coffee, but to make it worse, we left the alcohol back at the apartment! We finally arrive and practically shove our way off the bus. One more minute on the bus with her and I would've shoved the phone down her throat.

Anyway, we arrive, grab a timetable and immediately do a run for the Police Academy Stunt show. We're super early which wasn't too bad since we got front row seats to the whole thing. The bad thing was, we got seated with a bunch of mainland china freaks. One woman kept grabbing people and taking photos with them:

She saw the kid a few seats down from her walk past with a batman tattoo on his arm. She grabs the kid, spins him on the spot and start taking photos of his arm. He freaks out and sits with his mum to hide. Not getting the message, her and the guy gets up and follows the kid and insists on taking photos with the kid and his arm. Like what the? When they finally sit down again, they spy a little girl with blonde hair sitting on the other side of her friends. Again, she jumps down, throws herself at the girl and grabs her and spins her in her seat to face the camera. Multiple flashes later, the little girl is captured on her camera forever. Meanwhile, the freak next to me refused to stop staring at me the entire time we were there:

The show finally starts and all we can say is "CHRISTINEEEEEEEE!!". We have alot of filming to do! Here's a few quick snaps from the show:

With the show over, we dashed across the street to:

We LOVE Scooby Doo. And this is before Sarah Michelle Gellar even did the movie! So obviously we HAD to go on the Spooky coaster. Not that we really knew what the Spooky Coaster was. We just liked the idea of a Spooky Coaster. We originally thought it was something like the ghost train ride you go on at the Easter Show where people in costume jump out to scare you. We even argued if we should use the night mode on the video camera and try to film the whole thing but decided against it. So we get into the car with 2 other people. The ride starts, we go into some dark tunnels expecting things to jump out. Like the 2 lunatics we are, we're sitting at the back of the car screaming and laughing our heads off whilst the other 2 just sit there thinking "Fuckin morons". A minute passes and nothing really happens except a few laughing figurines. We start to relax when suddenly the car jolts to a stop. The next thing you know, we're going up in a lift. Oh shit......I knew what was coming.....only I didn't realise it would be backwards. We somehow thought the word "Coaster" on the "Spooky Coaster" was an exaggeration, but it was a frickin roller coaster! In the dark! This time we really start screaming our heads off. When we get off the ride, Moishii starts screaming at me like somehow it was MY fault for wanting to go on the ride. Like whatever!

We run out to the light and decided the only way to settle our nerves was with some foooooood! We ummed and Ahhhed for awhile before deciding on the lamb burger meal. We pay for our meal and stand to one side. We see a big tower of packet sauces and argued over what sauce we want. We decided to grab 2 of each, until I spot an old sign hidden behind a few stock boxes indicating that theres a price to pay for the sauce. Without even thinking, we throw everything back into the baskets and then started arguing again as to whether we really want sauce and if so, what sauce. After a minute of arguing, we decided on one tub of sauce, and pull out the money to pay. The waitress basically ignored us when we tried to pay so we grabbed it at left which is when we argued that if it was free, shouldn't we have grabbed more? You can never win with us.

MmmMmmm Innards.....

Maybe it was the sunstroke, but it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long long time. After scoffing all the food, we quickly dash over to see the Scooby Doo show. We grab the map and start hunting the theatre down. We ended up breaking into an office thinking thats where the show was. After practically taking the whole building apart, we find out that the show is actually on the streets. Oh FFS. Maybe they should actually state that next time?? We grab a spot on the curb and sit down and wait for the show to start.

Afte getting completely sunburnt, we pack our gear up and decided to explore the place now that we've seen all the shows we want to see. Since it was so hot, we decided to cool down by going to:

Did I mention that Moishii doesn't like roller coasters or any rides that involve high altitudes? Well.....it wasn't THAT bad I don't think......

We did get completely soaked though. I thought it was a great ride and wouldn't mind doing it again. Moishii on the other hand, was about to rip someone's throat out! So we dealt with it the best we could. We went and drank:

God Moishii sucked that thing down like there was no tomorrow. After the heart stopping (??) ride, Moishii insisted on something a bit more tame........

Yep.....thats an infant train ride. I couldn't even fit in the damn carriage because my legs were too long! AND I'M SHORT!!! I practically had bruises on my shins trying to fit into the damn train. We looked like complete morons sitting on a 3year olds train ride! Well, since we were being complete fools, we might as well film it. As we were going around the 20m tracks at 3km/hr, we started waving at this guy and tried to get him to leave a message on camera with us.

He refused! What type of freak refuses to be in our home video??? Bleh. We get off the train and limp around the Looney Tunes area. We ended up on some Looney Tunes ride where we see singing dancing bugs bunnies whilst on a boat. I hope that wasn't too much excitement for some people.....Now I knew there was no way I would get Moishii to go on the Superman ride with me...and I wasn't about to go on it myself:

So we went for a smaller version.......a MUCH smaller version.......

Moishii gets off the ride screaming that he needs a drink again. So we tried to head back towards the bar when we stumble upon the all star parade! Which is basically a parade of all the characters at Movie World:

Willy Wonka

Shrek

Sylvester

Cat woman's ass

When the parade was over, we quickly race towards the Shrek 4D show. I took us over 1/2hr to line up and get into the damn theatre. By the time we finally got a seat for the show, I was ready for another drink. God I wish I didn't leave my bottle of alcohol at home......The show starts and what can I say? It was awesome! Easily one of the best shows I saw on the day (Almost as good as the police academy show!). We come out feeling refreshed after being able to sit and rest our feet. We then did a frenzied shopping trip and bought a few souveniers, took a bunch of photos and decided to heat into the Batman ride before going home. BAD IDEA. 30seconds into the ride I thought I was going to throw up. It was one of those "space" rides where theres a huge screen and you get tossed about in your seat. It didn't help that we had a snack each right before the ride. The trip home was the worst I've felt in a long time. Almost as bad as my Istanbul to New York-overdose on tablets with a screaming baby kicking my seat ride.

We jump off the bus and all we want to do was go home. Moishii would've shoved someone into the path of an oncoming truck if they got in his way. Somehow I avoided that fate even when I insisted on stopping at the bottle shop on the way home. With a bottle of apple schnapps under my arm, we're back in our apartment within 10mins. After downing a few shots (Aren't you glad I insisted on buying more alcohol) we finally get some much needed rest.

We finally get our act together and go for dinner. We saw a greek restaurant the night before and we just HAD to go, since it is our greek islands replacement trip. We sit down and within minutes, we see this:

The guy in the blue and white is the owner who grabs every random person who walks by and insists on dancing with them. The waitress is just dancing to keep her job. We somehow ended up with an outdoor seat, which I was glad for when the music starts blaring. The restaurant was metres from the sea, and with the gale force wind, me in my pink jacket, Moishii in his Usyd Jacket, we felt like we were in Mykonos. So to celebrate, I raced down the street and picked up a bottle of wine. Just in time for entrees:

Turkish bread with Olive Tapenade, babaganoush and taramosalata

Grilled calamari (Looks like the petros leftovers from Mykonos)

Braised Lamb Shanks

It was DEEEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS!!

We're completely stuffed and liquored up. We sit and relax for awhile. We talk about the good old days...well, we talk about Mykonos. And Santorini. And Rhodes. Maybe we really missed Greece......which is probably why we started seeing things like we were in Greece!

This woman looks like the woman who had the suitcase dropped on her head, and then her hair ate a woman's hand!

Whilst these 2 reminded us of the chick at the club who kept pimping herself out to everyone on the streets of Santorini. God we miss Greece........God we're sad. We ended up calling it a night and headed home to watch Sister Act. That's even more sad.......
