Me for me on my birthday!! They smell gorgeous!!

What a week...

Lets recap what I did last week......

Tuesday: Went to this new Korean BBQ restaurant in the City for my birthday with my family. The food was absolutely awesome! Defintely one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to. The kimchi was :D~~~ It got to the stage where we were requesting for more and more kimchi! Should've bought some for take away. Had a quick inspect of my apartment and I'm quite happy with the Tenants in it!

Thursday: OooOOoooo I don't feel so good......woke up and spent the whole morning throwing up. Thought I was pregnant or something. Went to work anyway and had to leave at 10:30 since I was spending more time in the toilet than at my desk. Almost fainted walking home from the station and had to sit at the bus stop and rest like an old fogie. When I did manage to get home, found out that my nephew was also sick. Dad was complaining about feeling funny when I went to sleep. When I woke up, about 6 hours later, Dad was also sick but he had a wedding to go to and couldn't stay home and rest. :(

Friday: Despite my suspected case of food poisoning, I went to work anyway and tried to finish as much work as I can and do a hand over for my projects. We went out to the City after work to go to the new easyway thats opened at Hoyts hoping to score a free puppy. Cookies beat me to the puppy :( Anyway, met up with my chinese school friends for a reunion over Korean (Yes I know.....) Luckily.......no food poisoning. It was awesome to see my friends again! Some of them I've actually known since I was in preschool. Went back to easyway again after dinner to try and score a free puppy. No luck :(

Saturday:
My Birthday! Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to meeeeeeee, I think I smell like I peed! Hip-hip-hooray!!!

Went to the city for a bit of all-you-can-eat Yum Cha with my old workmates who have left the company. I have never seen someone eat so many BBQ pork buns in my life. 1 guy, 6 steamers full of BBQ pork buns. @_@ It was great catching up with some of them. The weirdest story had to be our "resident crazy guy" is now a school teacher. For the love of god NO! Poor kids.....they're going to turn out like him. Or like me. Cos I don't think we're too different when you measure our level of insaneness.

Went home for a nap before heading out at night. Found out that my other nephew is also sick so it couldn't have been food poisoning cos he didn't eat that night. Damn vomit bugs.

Dinner was at Komachi in Surry Hills and the food was awesome! (TOFU STEAK AND GREEN TEA ICE CREAM!!!) I love Japanese restaurants that are actually run by Japanese people! Makes me miss japan. :( Thanks to everyone who showed up that night! Glad you can make it despite the whole footy game thing being held that night. Traffic is such a bitch. I got an awesome fondue set for my birthday (DINNER PARTAY!!!!) and the full set of the Lord of the Rings sound track!! YAY!!! 6.1 surround sound! *^_^* And how could I forget my beautiful bunch of hand cut lillies! They smell beautiful! Thanks babes! I swear they smell like apple......I'm so going to fondue them. We were going to go drinks after dinner, but since my drinking partner was MIA, we thought we'd go try out the new fondue set. MMMMMMMM YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fondue plus japanese horror movies r0x! Oh......I got a call from Moishii as well! *^_^* Despite the fact that I told him on Wednesday that I will go key his car if he didn't call me on my birthday, he still called! AHEAHEa

Sunday: Went with a friend to the new Bondi Westfield. Wuuuuuuuuuuu NICE! POSH! AheAHEa Only in Bondi would you find lobsters in the damn foodcourt. And plastic plates? PFFFFFT yeh right! No such thing! They use all those funky square plates and funny shaped bowls with japanese style food trays! Geeees....lets see them do that in Burwood.....

Today: errrrrrr...........yeh...........studying for my exam tomorrow. As you can see that I am EXTREMELY BUSY studying......no time to procrastinate. *cough* Moon festival tomorrow!! w00t! I need to pack for my trip........but errrrr.......study first :D *mental note, bring sunscreen*

Alzheimers

4 days until I get another year older. I know I'm getting old, but not THAT old! My friend apologised for calling me at 12:30am last night and waking me. BUT, I have absolutely no recollection of having a conversation on the phone last night. o_O And according to my friend, it was a 10minute conversation as well! Like WTF? O_o Am I losing my mind? Must go home and check my other mobile for last received calls list and the call duration.....FARK WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!?

Memories

I had a combine birthday party to go to on Saturday night. Both of the birthday girls were my high school friends and alot of the people attending were also from high school. It was great to catch up with some of the girls since I haven't seen some of them since graduation. It's great to see how people have grown up and the path they have taken. We had people who were eye doctors (Yes I tried to score a free laser eye surgery session but my charm just wasn't working), child care workers, marketing, Primary School Teacher and a DJ. It was great being able to catch up with them especially since some of them left in Year 10 and I haven't seen them for 8 years! This time I did the smart thing and started gathering email addresses and contact numbers and hopefully we will keep in touch again.

I was fascinated with some of the things they have done since leaving high school. The friend that does Marketing got called to a "conference" up in the central coast where they housed them up in a resort for a few days with unlimited alcohol and they were greeted by fire eaters, dancers and drummers when they first arrived at the resort. They spent the rest of the "conference" doing group bonding exercises like drinking and playing pool.

Another of my friends went and travelled throughout Europe and spent most of the night chatting away with one of the girls in French. There is, of course, my Sperm Technician best friend who amused us with various sperm stories *cough* during dinner *cough**cough*. There was the story of the testicular operation where they cut certain things open and poke them with needles and other stuff *Cough*. Of course there was other stories that involved infertility, child deformity and other wonderous, light dinner topics. *Cough* Thanks babes.

Its ashame that the most of the topics involved career and work and we didn't get a chance to talk about other things in our lives. But I guess most "first reunions" are like that. Anyway, me being me, I ended up informing everyone to the wonders of Mango Beer at LB so we've decided to have another get together when I'm back from overseas for a bit of Mango Beering. :D

We also had a house warming for one of the birthday girls on Sunday who now lives 5mins from my house. She threw a spectacular Dinner party where I earned my feed by helping to assemble her bed. I'm quite proud of myself for being able to make sense of the "instructions" provided and got pretty close to finishing the bed. Of course, food came first so maybe I'll go back another day and help out :D

Oh.....I also spent a great deal of time on Saturday either finishing work at home or reinstalling my computer as my baby got fux0red after installing the VPN access onto it. >_< Luckily for ghost images. Woohoo!

I thought I'd treat myself and buy this bear to cheer me up. I guess I sympathise with him because I feel the same way he looks. All battered and tired. *SiGH*

Hopefully I will be this relaxed when I'm on holidays. Either I'll be relaxed or I'll be passed out..

And I call myself a fan.....

I LOVE Lord of the Rings. I absolutely adore Aragorn and I can't wait for the ROTK to come out on Extended DVD edition. Although LOTR has been out for 3 years now......I only just realised that I have never considered buying their soundtracks. I love the music and alot of the scores bring me to tears when I listen to them because they envoke such emotions in me. Yet I have never considered buying the CDs!

Chatting to my workmates, he said to me "Why don't you just go and buy it? They're everywhere." Its not that I can't find the CDs.....and they have them on online stores all the time. I'm just scared of the chain of events that will happen if I walk into a CD shop to buy something. Because it'll be like "Oh! DVD Sales!" "OMG! BOXSETS!". This is when my workmate offered to burn me a copy of the CD and DVD extended edition when it comes out in the US. I almost decked him in the face because I refuse to insult LOTR by getting any pirated stuff. Actually.....I would've smacked him if he wasn't a whole head taller than me. And he's twice my size with a big booming voice. Oh.....he's also been doing Martial Arts for the past 15 years.....so......yeah......

Anyway, I shall hold off buying the CDs until the DVDs come out. I'd much prefer to oogle at Aragorn than listen to the music. mMmmMmMMmmm

Time really flies

I have been so busy with my life and work lately. Well......even more busy than I was before. I have fully fallen into my role as the lab manager and resourcing/scheduling along with a few other big projects to run up my sleeve. I'm still trying to keep up with my gym as well as read allllllllllll the books I bought and finish my quilling project whilst keeping up with my friends.

Because I have been so busy with work and wanting to meet alot of the deadlines 2 weeks ahead of my schedule so I can go on my holidays in peace, I skipped training last tuesday.....and part of the training the week before :X So I rock up to class today only to find out that this is our very last class. FOREVER! No more tutes, no pracs, no more boring lectures. We didnt even have to stay til 9pm tonight. Class was basically 9-5, and to celebrate, we hit the bar. The entire class went to the Art house afterwars (I think we were inspired by the lecturer's words of "I'll shout"). But in the 2 hours at the bar, I learnt more about my class mates then in the 4 months I spent with them. I mean I can probably put it down to a few things.

  1. After a 12hour class, I am not about to stick around to chat
  2. Since its a 12 hour day, I'd rather get stuck into the work, get it over and done with and go home
  3. If we don't have a full day class, we tend to have work from 8:30-5, then class from 6-9. Again, I JUST WANNA GET MY ASS OUT OF THERE!
However, today I really regreted that I didn't get to spend more time chatting with them and getting to know them in class. Not only are they really nice and fascinating people, but just learning from their experiences from work made a huge difference for me. For me, I basically got this job once I graduated from uni and I haven't had any other IT experience. Talking to all these people from the same industry but dong completely different things totally fascinated me. Too bad I won't see any of them until the exam, and chances are I'll be too busy cramming (As usual) to talk to them.

Our company is organising a Tester's network/function to get all the people in the industry together and I would definetly love to invite them and catch up. I can't believe my course is almost over!! I only have the exam left, a private project for me to complete in my own time as well as a workplace assessment and I'm done! I will have my tuesday nights free again! I used to have belly dancing every tuesday night, but my Teacher has moved to Cairns to live until January and we have one of the girls taking over her classes. Some of you may remember her since she did the veil dance with me. But yeah......chances are I won't be going back to belly dancing until next year. Which will give me a nice break on Tuesdays.

I so can't wait for my holiday. I'm so tired and stressed from work. It feels like I'm being pulled in a million directions. Although my workload has doubled, it feels like my productivity has dropped by 50% Why? I have too much things to do and not being able to focus on one thing at a time. I would sit down and try to review a 30page document, and that would take me up to 4-6hours to do because my phone will ring, emails will flood my inbox (And not the friendly spamming type that I do alot), the other people will have questions or problems that will drag me away from my desk, I have meetings non stop and when I don't get dragged into meetings, I end up initiating them. Inbetween all that, I still have to do my 8hours of deliverable work. ARGH! I'm basically trying to cram 2 days worth of work into one day so I can still make it to the gym. Thats probably the only thing keeping me sane. I used to be able to just do a class and totally forget work, go home, shower and then sleep. Now I'm starting to notice that all these work problems creep into my mind during a class. I'm sick of it. I need more money. I need a promotion. And I need my holiday. I'll see you soon moishii!! Miss you so much!! >_< *HuggLeS*

SELF CONTROL WOMAN!!

Damnit.....went shopping with Vics after she had her haircut. I was doing so well! Only spent about $10 on paper and candles! Then I walked Vics back to my place where her brother was going to pick her up. After she left, I thought I would walk back up to the ATM and get some cash for tomorrow. So what did I end up doing? I bought a new pair of shoes and 2 pairs of pants! Like WTF?! SELF CONTROL WOMAN! *SMACKS* Damnit!! *SMACKS**SMACKS* stop spending money!! GRRRRRRRRR *SMacks* Which reminds me.......I need to buy new speakers this saturday......ARGHHHHHHHH *SMACKS* Oh.....you wanna hear the best part? I forgot to go to the ATM... *SiGH*

I AM NORMAL!!!!

WARNING: This is a really long and incoherent post. Ignore if you don't have the time to waste.

I had a really strange dream last nite. M has come up with a script and she wanted me to read through. But thats all I did. I just read through it. No changes...not comments...it was a "normal" movie script. M complained that I didn't want to help her with her script. Its not that I didn't want to help...its just that I am...normal.....I've been drained of all my creative juices. When I woke up, the dream didn't seem all tha fake. Its true. Ever since Moishii went on holidays, I've been trying to lead a "normal" life. No more trying to screw people over, no crazy stunts to embarrass people, I stopped doing things just for the sake of doing it. I was in the car with M when I had the sudden urge to scream out of the car window like I used to do. But I just couldn't do it. I haven't done that in close to 4 months and I don't have the confidence to scream out of the window and abuse people anymore! M just didn't bring out that side of me. I need inspiration from Moishii! Let me give you an example of a typical day out for us...

Moishii will come pick me up before we go out. As usual, he's running 30mins-1hr late. I jump into the car and start abusing him for being late. I call him a jackass, he calls me a jacktit, I call him a dickhead, he calls me a slut. Whilst arguing, we would usually have a near miss with the surrounding cars cos Moishii probably drove right over a round about. That or I will get whiplash from him speeding over a speed hump. When we finally arrive at where we are going, lets say, glebe markets. We will make a dash for the nearest stall, he would grab something and drop it or break it so we end up paying god knows how much for a broken piece of crap before we move onto another stall where I see 234723947 things I want to buy. He snatches it off me saying I don't need it, I hit him and grab it back saying I need to buy it, he screams at me saying we have a mortgage and then I scream back saying I want a divorce. The abuse continues whilst I pay for the item and move to another stall. The cycle repeats until we're hungry.

Since we're at the glebe markets, the menu will generally be Gozleme (Turkish pancake type thing filled with spinach and cheese and chilli beef with a squeeze of lemon juice! MmMmMMMmm) We would sit at the park to eat our lunch only to be surrounded by a pack of hungry dogs. We move seats. The dogs follow us. Moishii drops his food cos of his clutziness. The dogs dash over to fight over the food. Moishii freaks out, ditches the food and we make a run of it whilst getting sauce all over us. I scream at him saying he owes me a new top, he'll tell me to shut up or he'll slap my t*ts.

We go buy our tickets to a movie. Not just any movie. We don't like watching blockbuster movies. We go for things like "Dead alive" or some shithouse zombie horror movie. We sit in the cinemas bursting out laughing at anything and everything. Some guy dies, we laugh. Some chick cries, we laugh. Theres a bomb, we laugh. We walk out of the movie and start yelling at each other.
"WHAT THE FARKKKKKKK WAS THAT ABOUT?!"
"YOU SCREWED ME OVER! YOU MADE ME WATCH THAT SHIT HOUSE MOVIE!"
"IT WAS YOUR IDEA!"
"NO ITS YOUR IDEA!!"
*mad round of slapping*
We walk into a coffee shop whilst abusing and slapping each other. We start arguing at the cashier about what to order. He'll order me an ice mocha with triple shots of caffiene whilst he gets an iced chocolate with extra extra extra extra chocolate. The cashier thinks we're joking and tries to order us a normal coffee only to be abused by the both of us. We finally get out drinks. We sit down and calmly drink our coffees. One of us bursts out laughing so we both start laughing. We have no idea what we're laughing about but we just keeping laughing. This is when the script ideas come out. We're gonna bury cherry alive and cover her grave with kidneys and krispy kreme icing. But then we dig her out and put her into a come and revive her by feeding her KK icing whilst playing "Sex bomb". After aout an hour of laughing, we would leave and drive around aimlessly. We tend to end up at Kings Cross and Moishii will pull out his video camera and we'll start filming prostitutes. After an hour of filming, we would finally go home. He would tear into my street, drop me off and beep his horn whilst speeding away and nearly hitting all the cars parked on my street.

*Note: All things described above are based on real events.

That compared to my current life. I work, I go to the gym, I go home, I irc for awhile and I sleep. I've also started doing granny stuff like quilling and knitting and of course, my knitting. I've become....."normal". Its exactly 3 weeks before I fly off to Istanbul...this is my guess as to what will happen...

My flight will be delayed. When I finally arrive, my airport transfer isnt waiting there for me. I scramble around to try and organise a transfer only to find that I speak english and everyone else speaks turkish. I finally find the gyu there to pick me up and I can't abuse him cos he don't understand a word I say. I will get to the hotel only to find out I can't check in because I didn't organise for an early check in when I did (Note to self, call travel agent today). I finally get to check into my room and there is still no sign of Moishii. When he does arrive, he'll be 2 hours late. We dash off to the Grand bazaar and get lost in the 4000 odd shops. We start screaming and abusing each other whilst arguing what stuff we should and should not buy. I try to bargain with the woman but she wont understand a word I am saying. I'll get Moishii to bargain for me but he'll probably say something to her in Turkish saying I'm a whore or something and I'll get throw out of the shop.

We'll end up having a turkish bath where I get throw onto a cold slab of marble and a topless 60yr old woman walks out and starts scrubbing me all over. Oh...you also have to be butt naked for this. No bikinis allows. He'll come out abusing me cos he got scrubbed by a naked man. We both end up screaming at each other.

We will go clubbing with him getting picked up by guys and me being picked up by grandpas. Sleep is not an option. We fill up on strong turkish coffee and fly to Athens only both of us will get horribly lost and end up in the red light district without knowing it. He will get groped by a guy. We will find a market and the abusing and screaming and bargaining happens all over again. Sleep is not an option!!!!!! We catch a ferry to the greek islands after filling up on more turkish coffee. One of us will vomit on the other. btw, turkish coffee is strong and thick and black with no milk...

We will end up in mykonos, the gay capital of Greece. He'll get picked up by a guy and I'll get groped by a chick. Chances are out swimmers will get knocked off by the waves. we both get sunburnt and be in excrutiating pain. We go get so drunk the pain goes away. Most of what happens on the islands will be a total blur.

We end up back in Turkey some how with a massive hangover. We get onto the flight to singapore with his parents where all of us get totally smashed on the free booze. Someone will vomit on Moishii. We land in singapore with an even bigger hangover and we split. He flies back to sydney whilst I go shopping in singapore and have a normal 12hour period with the kids during the entire holiday. I arrive in sydney with another hangover from consuming too much alcohol on the flight. Based on the current schedule, I will go straight to our clients site and participate in a major presentation.

So.......lets bet on the chances of my predictions coming true.....

Embrace the technology!

My dad bought a new computer a few weeks ago. Due to "technical difficulties" with my wireless set up (damn incompatible pieces of ****), he hasn't been able to use the net. But for the past 2 weeks, I've been teaching him how to browse and search the net and set up various pages for him to visit and so forth. Lets just say he's addicted to the net! LoL! Every night after dinner he would sit infront of the computer reading up on one thing or another. Recently I set up a Gmail account for him so he can start sending emails to all my sister and brother etc. This is all good, BUT....yes there is always a "but". But...its sort of backfiring on me. The reason he went and got a Chinese Windows computer was so that his friend can teach him how to use it and since all the instructions are in chinese, my dad can "easily" use the computer. *SiGh*

In the past 2 weeks, I've learnt to read chinese again. Since I don't trust his friend coming to help set up the computer (after he totally fux0red my comp last time, who can blame me?) so I've taken on the responsibility to teach my dad to use a chinese computer. Yes I did study chinese for 12 years, but that was alse more than 7 years ago!! Sif i can remember that much! *ugh* Every night last week, my dad would be on the computer before and after dinner. Meaning the minute I come home, before I even lock the door and before I even take my shoes off, my dad will call my name and say:
"Hey I have a question......"
-_-" Oh wells......i reckon in a few more weeks my dad will be able to use the comp without help. That is, until I try to show him how to use MSN and Netmeet and webcams etc. My poor 12gig download :( *pat**Pat*

Despite all that, I think its cute that my dad wants to learn to use the computer. AHeaHeAHe He's also trying to teach my mum! *rolls eyes* Its like the blind leading the blind.....which reminds me. Must remove their write access to the shared files! >_<

Ugh! I take it back!

So much for my "massive hangover I intend to give myself by consuming mass amounts of free alcohol on the flight" back to Sydney. Like FOR FUCKS SAKE! I got SCREWED! I know this should probably go into Insaneness.......BUT FARKKKKKK!! Enver just messaged me and his uncle went and cancelled his flight back to Sydney! Whats the big deal? Fly back by yourself you say? The big deal is that I AM FLYING BACK WITH HIS MUM!!! >_<

Finished!

Yay~~~~ I finished~~~~ Happy birthday Mummy! Happy fathers day Daddy! *collapses in bed*

Counting the days

Lets see..... *counts fingers* it is exactly 23 days til I'm one year older and exactly 22 days til I'm an official home owner. There is also exactly 27 days til I'm jetting off overseas to enjoy my break in Istanbul, Athens and of course, the Greek Islands. Oh, I'm forgetting my short 1day stop over in Singapore. Just long enough to have a massive shopping spree of my favourite shopping centres (Yes I have favourites in Singapore...considering how many times I've been there).

Oh...did I forget to count the 21 days until my exam for the course I've been doing? I also have from now, until I leave, to finish off all the preparation work for a project so that there will hopefully be no hiccups whilst I'm on holiday. Not so hard you say? Well...lets see...theres about 5-6 weeks worth of work to be done in the 3-4 weeks before I leave. Right now, I'm already planning overtime and weekend work for when I come back. So I will be relaxing and enjoying myself on the beach, only to come back and jump right into overtime work. Fun. Oh...silly me. I also went and booked my return flight to Sydney for the 14th of October. Which is also the day I go back to work. So the plan is, arrive in Sydney at 6am, get my luggage and be out of customs by 6:30am. Home by 7:00am, shower, change and leave the house for work at 7:30am! Its perfect! Add the massive hangover I intend to give myself by consuming mass amounts of free alcohol on the flight...I should be at work at 8:30, just in time to run to the local cafe and ask the lovely lady to make me a nice extra strong hot Mocha.

You know what? After listing out stuff I need to do for the next few weeks.....I forgot to include study leave! Ha..ha...funny that...I guess that what the hours between 11pm-7am is for. Of course I need to take into account that this month is also my Mum's birthday (Tomorrow), Dad's bday (18 days), my little cousin's daughter's bday (3 days), 2 other friend's bday, father's day (3 days) and of course...my own birthday. (Hopefully minus the horrible hangover this year) With so much shit coming up...No wonder I'm always sick of parties by the time it's my turn. Probably why I never want a cake for my bday nor can I be bothered organising anything. Oh...I forgot to throw in the wedding I need to go to which I don't want to go to which my parents are forcing me to go to which I probably won't end up going. If that makes sense.....

*SiGH*

I so can't wait for my holiday...

On another note.....

  • Weekend was GOOD! Mars bars and Toblerone Fondue! mmMMmmMmMMMmm And this time it actually worked! Woohoo!! All we were missing was the crushed nuts to roll the dipped fruit in! Well...we did by the nuts...we just cbf crushing it! Ending up dipping the nuts in chocolate and eating them that way.
  • we celebrated my mums chinese bday on saturday with a massive feast of Crabs and oysters and scallops and mussels and other stuff. The only problem? My mum doesn't like seafood! LoL But then it wouldn't be a feast if it was just vegies and chicken. Obviously we had other food that my mummy likes :D
  • Went to the driving range on the weekend. I haven't been in AGESSSSSSSSSSSSSS! This time, I tried a different stroke and I watched the ball fly!! (Ok..stroke and ball shouldn't go in the same sentence..maybe I should have used swing...oh wells) I'm now hitting close to the 100m mark! w00t! The fact that it was windy may have helped. Although..at one stage, the wind changed directions and I think I actually smacked a few balls onto the actual golf course and not onto the driving range :X
  • I don't care what you say, I'm not honkie and I don't look like a honkie! But...I look honkie. Only recently anyway. I never learn. Never ever ask a honkie to dye your hair if you don't want to look like a honkie! FFS! I'm the perfect candidate for the red head matches right now.... *SiGH* Atleast its not AS bright as it was on saturday...
  • I can't go boxing. Not for awhile anyway. My fist is SCREWED! It looks all good until I start hitting. Its like all the meat on my fist has been tenderised by a mallet :T I'm hoping to go buy wrist wraps on the weekend and hopefully they'll help. I'll try to go next week...but probably good for it to heal up before I start pounding away again :T
  • I spent the past 3 days doing nonstop quilling. YES I AM BACK! MAUahAUah Been quilling a massiveeeeeeee frame for my mums bday pressie which I should finish tonight. I've been up til 1am every night this week working on it. My fault really...I have so much craft stuff its not funny (Ask cookies the size of the box I use to store my craft stuff). I have to pack away every trace of my quilling every night incase my mum goes into my room the next day and see traces of my project. Almost over.... *rubs eyes and back*
  • Almost time for my 6 months review.....damnit I WANT ANOTHER PAYRISE! I have a mortgage damnit! GRRRRRRRRRRRR Must prepare for battle! Which means I now have to go back to work. *SiGH*
Til next time!
