The proposal
So I got reminded that I forgot to blog about the proposal. I can't believe I forgot! As I mentioned, I held my tears back pretty well during the wedding, but there was one moment where tears were brimming at my eyes and threatened to ruin my makeup. During the ceremony, a video started playing along with the music. It was a video of the couple obviously. My initial reaction was "awww how cute! Home videos of their good times together!!"
There was a short clip where Sam was seated at a piano and Mi Yun was seated near him. He begins to play a song on the piano and proceeds to sing a Korean ballad. I could only assume that it was either one of their favourite songs, or a very very romantic love song, because my friend started crying as he serenaded her. The next scene involved the both of them standing on a stage either in a church or the music room where the piano was. Sam was reading something very romantic to Mi Yun that resulted in more tears from her. Tears of joy that is. A banner unfolds and hanging on the wall is a photo of them, a poem in korean, and "Will you marry me" splashed across it. This is when Sam gets down on one knee, with his bouquet of flowers and says to Mi Yun "Will you marry me???". We were watching the actual proposal!!
Sam had somehow organised the whole thing and arranged for a friend to be there to film the whole process. The amount of effort and thought that went into it brought me to tears. The wedding day was the first time I've met Sam, and I knew from that clip, that they will be happy forever. That Sam will take care of Mi Yun for the rest of his life and love her and protect her. When I realised that, I wanted to cry. It was so romantic!! ROMANTIC GUYS LIKE THAT DO EXIST!!! Sam is living proof of it! And I'm sure he will continue to love and cherish Mi Yun that way. And if he doesn't, well I've already told him that he would have to answer to US, specifically ME. And I won't be nice! HOWEVER, I don't think it will ever resort to that. I know they will live happily ever after.
