So close!!!
Well that was a bloody good game. Its almost 11:30pm, and after a good 2 hours of running around, I've got more energy than a bunny on speed. It was a bloody awesome game and we came SO SO close to winning a set! "Big deal!" you say. Well.....it is, considering over half of the team completely SUCKED a week ago. The first set was a good demonstration of the skills we acquired from our training session on the weekend. We were leading 21 to 13 when their B-Grade player (We're C-Grade) stepped up to serve. I guess thats one thing we didn't get a chance to train. Receiving the serve. They eventually caught up and won that set 24 to 26.
The good thing is, we've practically increased our scores by a good 75% and it looks like we have a good chance to move up the ladder! Yay! Now just to arrange a few more training sessions to go through the basics! I'm so psyched! I can't wait for the next game! SHARKBAIT! WUHAHA!

how many more sessions before i can come and cheer for you guys???
Depends on what you want to do. Do you:
a. Want to come and laugh at us getting hit by flying balls, falling over each other, bull ramming into each other and general clutziness. Now is the time. I say you have 1-2 more games of that. And if you and Moishii wanna film, you better come next week because we're improving FAST!
b. Actually want to see us play and cheer us on to win, and PLAY like we know what we're doing.....well....give us a few more weeks, or atleast wait until we get the timetable and find a week with a team we think we can beat!
We did very good this week! I'm impressed. SHARKBAIT! WUHAHA!!
Hope you're talking about volleyball. ^_^ I play as well at Broadway, Ryde and UTS. Yes a vball fanatic and we have Sunday training sessions most times ! Whoa you guys sound like your having fun...keep practising and enjoying the game. Sorry to hear that you lost that set, but shit happens sometimes. =(
Yes vball! I went from someone who would duck everytime a ball got near me, to someone who can't stop raving about it! And its only week 2! We were devastated that we lost the first set since we were so so sooooooo close! But then it did highlight the weaknesses of the team (and we have ALOT of weaknesses).
But it was all a good lesson regardless. Now to prepare for the next game! WE'RE GONNA SLAUGHTER THEM!!!!!! MauahaUa ok...maybe not.....
omg hahaha i just received the results from B'way and have a guess who I found on the list.....SHARKBAIT ! :-P Keep up the enthusiasmn. You'll beat em soon !
hahaha omg! What team are you???
OMG! I KNOW! NETRIX!!!
hahaha good guess, but no cigar ! I know many players from C grade, but have moved on to higher and better places (B grade) hehehe... I know most of them in Netrix, not to mention the 50 other teams in C grade. If your team is interested in "social" training, I can give you some tips here and there. We usually train on Sunday morning/afternoons. You can ask the Netrix captains for details...his name is Gab.
Dang! Close enough! I spotted Eric and Sonya in a photo on your blog! I'll wait until our team improves abit before we make a complete ass out of ourselves infront of the B-graders.....
Its embarrassing when your own team mate throws you across the floor trying to get to a ball! hahaha Maybe I'll come and watch some B-grade games :D
