A loser's whinge???

Another week, another game, another defeat. Only this time we can take consolation that we were beaten by a really good team. And only by just a few points. I was suprised we scored as many points as we did considering 3 out of the 6 players on the other team actually play B-grade. CHEATERS! Ok.....maybe not. But they should really put a rule on B-grade players playing in C-grade comps! Its one or the other! Not to be a sore loser or anything, but whats the point in having different grades to suit different levels of skill sets, if you're going to lump the advance players with the beginners anyway? Either way, we had a great game and had heaps of fun! We definately improved considering we almost ran out of time playing teh 3rd set! Always a good sign as it means we put up a good fight and had quite a few good rallies. Usually we have more than enough time to play a 4th set!

The team work definately improved this week, and so did our individual skills! Atleast there were no major injuries this week! Well...except the few times I landed on my ass trying to save the ball (I'm beginning to see a pattern here). Oh...and the one time where I landed on my ass and proceeded to do a commando roll under the net and across to the other side of the court trying to get a ball. But the highlight for me would have to be me chasing after a ball at full speed.......only to run into a door. Luckily the door had a bar that you push on to open...and luckily the door wasn't locked....and VERY luckily I managed to push the bar just as I slammed myself full force onto the door and hurled myself out of the court. *Ahem*. Yeh.....atleast I'm trying! HeAheAHeh

We also go our team shirts this week, only we forgot to get a photo. But I think I'll wait until all of our team members are there to take a group shot! Our uniforms look awesome! Meanwhile, I've gotta find a way to stop myself from bruising so much! I usually don't bruise unless I've been poked by raving lunatics holding a needle, or getting struck by a baseball bat. But LOOK!!!!

Could have something to do with training the day before a game. Multiple impacts are not good for my delicate flesh! :P But atleast I'm making full use of the bruise cream I got when I gave blood last time...

Lets hope the weather eases up so I can do a bit more training on the weekend! I'm getting absolutely obsessed with Volleyball! Come on SHARKBAIT!! WUHAHA!
