I Should be flattered.....

Work has been crazy lately. Our projects have just been piling up and we are desperately trying to hire more and more people to deal with the amount of work we have. We've opened a new office in Melbourne and one of my workmate is going to be transferred down there. Another of our workmates have quit and the rest have all been sent off site. I am probably the only one left in the office who is capable of running the lab and running the major projects coming up. The only problem is, I AM THE ONLY ONE.

For 2 months, I've been told that I am going to get sent offsite to the clients office to manage one of the largest projects we have. The project itself is close to $20million and we're going to be getting a nice chunk of that. However, a few weeks ago, I've been told that they are now going to keep me in the office to manage the lab, do the scheduling, training and all the other crap going on along with running some of the other large projects in the office. Ok. I can deal with that. Atleast that means that I'll be in the office for quite a long time and have some stability in my worklife. What happens? Today they walk up to me and now I'm managing the million dollar project. That is...until one of the other managers found out and has decided that, no, I'm staying in the office to manage the other testers. This was then followed by the manager ranting and raving to the CEO who then ended up having a screaming match in the hallway with one of the other guys. All because of me. I guess I should be flattered that I have so many people fighting over me......but then this is just ridiculous. If they had their way, there will be 5 horses in the office right now with ropes tied to my arms and legs ripping me to pieces so I can cover all the work. The organisation has gone to the shithouse and I'm stuck here wondering what train ticket to buy next week.

Oh.....I was also supposed to have 2 days training as of tomorrow.....but they have also scheduled me to start one of the major projects tomorrow......along with the offsite project on monday! Fun....even if I worked 3 shifts a day......I'll still need another 24hours because ontop of all of that...they have me training new people every day this week.

I need to go do some boxing......
