What annoys them?
I've always been fascinated with what guys think of certain girl things. Like what type of fashion accessory do they really hate, what did they think of make up etc etc. I've asked quite a few of my guy friends "What female fashion item really annoy you?" These are some of the answers I got back:
Pointy toed shoes
The guys hated them and I agree. (I'm so going to be persecuted for this). I admit, some people look really good with pointy toed shoes on. But it all depends on the proportion of their foot size to their height, leg length and clothes in general. Some people pull it off very well. Most people don't. The guys I asked, and me, don't get it. Why wear a pair of shoes that adds and extra 2 inches to your foot? Most people can barely walk in them. And it seems, the larger the foot, the most uncomfortable it seems. When I see people walking, it seems the front of the shoe is flapping about. If I ever consider buying a pair, someone please point me back to this entry. (Btw, this is one topic that I got a lot of ranting and raving and swearing from guys)
Micro-mini skirts
Stupid question to ask the guys the I guess.....Again, some people can pull of micro-minis. A rare few can. But what I don't get the most, is what possesses people to wear them in winter? I understand that most of the fashion we see is inspired by the other hemisphere of the earth. But seriously, fashion is one thing and common sense is another. If theres gale force winds outside, DON'T WEAR THE BLOODY SKIRT! I've seen so many people insisting on wearing these little "hankies around the ass" things on the street. Only, as they walk down the street, they have their hands constantly on their ass holding the skirt down from being blown up Marilyn Monroe style. I mean, there must be another way to get pneumonia.
Ugh boots
It's called ugh boots for a reason. Cos they're UGH-ly. Actually, they're fugly. Which is why they're meant to be worn at home. Not on the street. Yes it looks cute eskimo style. But keep that look at home. This is particularly bad when you see people in micro minis freezing their ass off, but decide to keep their little toes warm by wearing ugh boots. Like WTF? Ever considered pants? Which brings me to Jeans tucked into Ugh boots. UGH >_< Actually, any pants tucked into any boots are ugh. I mean, even Jessica Simpson couldn't pull off the jeans-in-pointy-toed-knee-high-boots look.
Cargoes with heels
Thanks Kylie. You know you're famous and you know you have the influence. But couldn't you have picked something nicer to be known for? Start something that isn't so fugly cos you know the rest of the world will just follow suit like sheep.
Stilettos
They're gorgeous when worn properly. But so many guys have asked me why the gods name do women subject ourselves to heels? Especially stilettos. Apparently, it annoys them the fact that women who wear such high heels have to pitter patter along at a snails pace incase they fall flat on their face. Then we complain that our feet hurt yadda yadda yadda. Well, I have nothing against high heels (Me being short and all....I need all the help I can get), but I think they should be left for special occassions. You see people on the trains wearing sky high heels who can't stand properly and practically topple over when the train stops. They look good, but definetly not practical. (At one point I had to take my heels off for *someone* to try whilst explaining the logic behind heels...)
I'll probably get abused by some people for this, and again, I'm going to say, some people can pull these looks off. For me, I don't think I have any chance in pulling it off and probably wouldn't want to try anyway. And some of those new "fashion" looks I just don't get and really don't care.
